about

This all-instrumental album is a collection of recent compositions, some sonic experiments, and a few unreleased older pieces that fit the mood. I'm not exactly sure what that mood is. Each of the previous albums I've released here on bandcamp have had something of a fixed identity [two albums of softer music, one of prog-rockish instrumentals, one of eclectic blues-tinged rock, one of social commentary], all of them recorded simultaneously over a six year period - what I find myself left with here are curiosities and misfits and a handful of new pieces that are brought together with a common bond of being incongruous elsewhere. Unclassifiable music. I find myself appreciating this album much more than the others, though - music that reflects more complex or rarefied states.
